Gangotri Yatra By Car

Gangotri is the main religious places among the four Char Dham pilgrimage circuit, situated in Uttarkashi, is closely related to Goddess Ganga, the river that we know as Ganges.

The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3048 mts, amidst sylvan surroundings, constitutes one of the most important pilgrimages for the devout Hindus and emits a highly pious aura.

The Gangotri temple was built by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, in the 18th century, is situated on the left bank of Bhagirathi. The temple is nested amidst the beautiful surroundings of deodars and pines.

It lies close to the the holy rock or the “Bhagirath Shila” where King Bhagirath had worshiped Lord Shiva. The Gangotri temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and located on the banks of River Bhagirathi.

  • Morning: 6:15 am to 2:00 pm
  • Evening: 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm

By Car 3 Days

01: Haridwar to Harsil (Night Stay)
02: Harsil to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (Night Stay)
03: Uttarkashi to Haridwar
  • GST & Toll Parking will paid by customer.
  • Driver will not drive after Sunset, as it is not safe to drive in Himalayas during night.
  • On no account driver on force asked to go on speed beyond the normal speed allowed by the Indian Motor Vehicles ACT.
  • Please be ready for any technical fault in car during the Journey.
  • Kindly check the vehicle before leaving. We are not responsible for any loss of bags/articles.
  • Sightseeing as per the itinerary (wherever the Vehicle would be allowed to go).
  • Music system will not allow at hills by uttarakhand Govt.
  • All the additional charges will be payable directly to driver by cash.
  • A/C will be switched off on hilly routes.
  • For airport/railway transfers it is the customer’s responsibility to call the cab at enough notice to make it for the connecting journey.
